Snowflakes... Snowflakes!

The snow began to fall again, drifting against the windows, politely begging entrance and then falling with disappointment to the ground - Jamie McGuire

Indeed seeing it snow is one of the most beautiful experiences one can have. It is soft, subtle and white, making one's own company enjoyable. It was just magical to watch it touch the ground so graciously.

Usual office walkway
After several years, it snowed in Paris for a continuous 24 hours or more. I had seen snow before but not necessarily lived through a full-fledged snowfall. It was really an exhilarating experience to have a nice cup of coffee and a large glass window to sit by and watch the snow fall (even if it’s in the office premises). My whole walkway seemed like a different place altogether – white and white! Even in that negative 6 degree, you will not fail to take a few good clicks of the pleasing views with your bare hands.

The aftermath of a snowfall is not exactly exciting but, in fact, quite tedious. Snow melts into ice forming a big pool of rink. Your chances of falling are close to 80% even if you are walking at a snail’s pace. It is really dreadful to walk steadily for a prolonged time frame, especially when the temperatures are at their bottom low, with your eyes and nose watering for no real reason.

All in all, it was an interesting experience! There was a news article on Paris being extra-beautiful with the snow fall. And I can only imagine, Eiffel with a white background would be another enthralling wonder by itself!

Here are a few pics of from our snow experience, mostly taken by my husband:
