Bonjour!
At this point of time, I am no good French speaker.... bt hopefully better in near future :)
These days i write blogs for no1, i expect no1 to see my blogs... so now its more like my personal diary... i open and write it when i find something so very interesting and it shudn be jus memories holding that... and wen i feel tht feeling shud be alive with the same freshness all the time... n now is one of those...
I have seen quite a few beaches in my life time... bt this one, atleast for me... is so serene( really in reality), so quiet, so complete, so blissful.... i m here talkin abt part of mediterrenean sea, in south France....
I reached France on jan 2nd.... was deadly tired... the flight experience is a different story.... neways, slept off for straight 14hours... 6:30pm to 8:30am.... it was chilly outside more due to the winds near the shore.... bt the room was very cozy with the heater.... passed whole day and afternoon chatting wid folks back in India... i always miss home whenever i go to a new place... this time Abhi also as he leaving for johanesburg.....
Around 5:30 in the evening stepped out... n i really din expect a shore just a stone throw's away... it was really a pleasant surprise.... all the qualities i described above... i felt like jus gettin into the water(bt i m no swimmer at all).... i was wearing rajasthani shoes... so removed and tried to walk on the shore, but it was too cold to do so.... so wore them back... and instead took the walkway next to shore....
it was really surprising tht french ppl prefer outing wid families... kids, mom, dad every1 along... they were at peace.... they greet every1 happily... all the smiling faces around.... we entered a shop...the greetings they gave wen we entered the shop with the smiles were jus the same wen we left the shop.....
there was zebra crossing on all the roads... People in India mus ve forgotten its importance also... bt here they have specific red and green lights for pedestrians as well... and surprisingly, the vehicles give more importance to those who want to cross the road... they used to stop their vehicles and allow the pedestrians to cross first.....
all in all, it was a very new experience... altogether a new culture with new set of habits.... its really good to be here.... bt i only wish this... When France meets RSA :)
