General Updates...

Sometimes many things happen with you but there is hardly anything to write about.. May be you have become too lazy to dwell into those thoughts or there are just too many to begin with.. Whatever it is clearly it should not be an excuse to shy away from blogging.. I will try and jot down a few moments which have happened in the due course...

I went to Scotland in May and Wales in August.. both are breathtakingly beautiful.. but what makes Scotland stand out is  its rugged beauty in the high-lands which simply adds to naturality.. Wales is very picturesque and amazing of course but Scotland steals the show!!

I moved from projects to projects, met a few other colleagues in the UK.. Trust me it adds to a whole new experience and its just great... now i know a few more people in cafeteria when i go for lunch which is nice and makes you feel more welcome! Specially to get a place to sit during peak hours :-D :-D

Went to Hyderabad for a week.. was really excited to see my family!! Mom was too busy making food for me which makes me feel guilty sometimes because that seems to be the only purpose of her life... just to feed me to the extent possible, for i have now become a guest to them! Was able to spend good time with my sister.. it is always funny to think how we ended up so differently when we both started the journey almost together (she is just one year older than me!) with similar amenities.. although the love and friendship have evolved more over the years :-)

I will be missing most of the festivals this time... Although I was able to cover Vinayaka Chavati thankfully.. will not be there to celebrate Dussehra and Diwali, major festivals of India.. But its ok, not every year turns out to be the way you want...

My husband left for Paris last September.. Time just flew by and sometimes things work out and sacrifices seem worth it after all! We get to meet at least once a month thanks to my London trip if not before.. I still regret the fact that I haven't put much fight to get a schengen visa this year though!!

UK has preserved its history brilliantly.. From war landscapes to English / Scottish / Welsh breakfast menus.. It shows how much they take pride in protecting their culture... One of the best yet simple things I noticed was what they call "Tea Room" here.. If you go to countryside, they provide you rich British experience by taking you inside their house and serving a pot of tea with cakes (not biscuits) while engaging one on one conversations with you.. its such a subtle act but gives you a pleasant experience!

Totally LOVED National History Museum.. the best thing is its for FREE!! Great collection and a must to go recommendation from my end.. Do cover Hampton court if you can.. it has a great history too.. I went with couple of lazy friends who got bored.. so if you are Palaces and Gardens lover, just go alone and enjoy! Sometimes you are your best company, trust me on this!

Completed House of Cards, How I met your Mother and many more movies & sitcoms.. well after all you can't hang out every day and after work you need to keep yourself busy by doing anything but work.. so sitcoms and movies become your best friends.. should find a way back to books again though!

I have experienced down times, high times and "very" high times.. but all in all this year has been a bunch of unique episodes which made me come to terms with a lot of patience, endurance and balanced freedom... In short wiser now! Distance sometimes enhances love when its true... time and again it only proved to me who I want to be with and what I want clearly...
